Parkfest 2000

On Saturday September 16th, we hosted our annual Parkfest Party in Valleyview Park.  Although the day was cool and windy, everyone that came out had a fun time.

There was plenty of good food to eat, rides and activities to entertain the children and an impressive raffle table loaded with great prizes.

Mayor Wayne Arthurs, Local Councillor David Pickles, and Regional Councillor Rick Johnson were among the more noted guests that attended  this year's event.  Originally slated to sit atop the dunk tank, they were spared by an uncontrollable delay in getting the water supply.

This misfortune, however, did not deter them from enjoying their visit to the Parkfest Party.  In fact, Mayor Arthurs and Councillor Pickles even took up a challenge on the Gladiator amusement.

Representatives from Ontario Power Generation were also present during the afternoon.   They offered an opportunity for the children to challenge their knowledge of energy and conservation, an win some nice prizes.

As in previous years, the Parkfest Party would not have been a success if it wasn't for the efforts and support of our many volunteers and sponsors.  Thank you for all of you help.
